TRAIL CLOSURE ALERT!

The contractor will be closing the whole western side of Arana  (yellow area on map below) to complete the north/south portion of the trail. This work will be approximately 2-1/2 months in duration.  The trailhead at Agnes will remain open with access along the eastern trails down to the harbor and to the southern portion of the park. We know this will impact the park users and is an inconvenience, but the end is in sight for the project. Thank you all for your continued patience as we race toward the project completion in November.

Curb, Gutter, and Sidewalk Installed at Harbor Access Road

We had some much needed rain last weekend. The contractor had all of their erosion control measures in place and everything in the project held up very well. The work on placing concrete curb, gutter, and sidewalk continued this week along the harbor access road. Crews placed concrete from the large wooden harbor sign, up the hill, to the intersection of Seventh Avenue.

Curb, Gutter, and Sidewalk work begins at Harbor Access Road

We've been receiving a lot of great feedback about the work alongside the harbor access road. I know many of you are excited about the sidewalk being installed from 7th Avenue down the hill to the big harbor sign. Work continues with the excavation, compaction and baserock to prepare for the forms to place concrete curb, gutter and sidewalk.

Happy New Year!

After a week off for the Christmas holiday, construction has resumed this week. Fortunately good weather continues to prevail allowing for good progress on exposed dirt sections without worry of erosion. The focus this week has been on the timber lagging wall along the harbor access road.
