Timber Lagging Wall at Harbor Access Road
Crews began placing the timber lagging between the piles last week and continue to install them this week. Backfilling of the wall started this week with the installation of the filter fabric along the back side of the lagging.Thursday, January 9, 2014

Timber Lagging Wall at Harbor Access Road
Pile installation is complete with the majority of piles having been set. Crews began placing the timber lagging between the piles last week and continue to install them this week. The timber lagging is a series of 12x12 pressure treated timber beams stacked in a horizontal configuration between the steel I-beam piles.Wednesday, January 1, 2014

Happy New Year!
After a week off for the Christmas holiday, construction has resumed this week. Fortunately good weather continues to prevail allowing for good progress on exposed dirt sections without worry of erosion. The focus this week has been on the timber lagging wall along the harbor access road.Monday, December 23, 2013

Access to the harbor via the trails on the east side is available again for the week!
When going down to the harbor from the Agnes Street entrance on the new Marsh Vista trail on the east side of Arana Gulch, stay to the left of the fencing at the harbor intersection and as you follow the fence around there is a pedestrian way through the fence that rejoins the DG harbor path (see photos below).
When coming up the DG path from the harbor, park visitors have a choice of going either left or right to access Arana gulch and the Agnes Street entarnce.

Construction Activities Dec. 17 - Dec. 24
Multi-Use Trail Construction
Construction of the new multi-use trail continues this week with the placement of the pervious concrete on the hillside section of the Creekview Trail and the upper western portion of the east/west segment to Hagemann Gulch. Excavation and formwork for the tail has begun at the bottom of the hill at the intersection behind the harbor dry storage yard. The contractor has fenced off this area and they will excavate, fill with rock, and place concrete over the next five days.

Temporary Trail Closure Alert!
Access to the harbor via the trails on the east side (Marsh Vista and Creek View)
will be temporarily unavailable Tuesday 12/17-12/23. Work is being performed at the harbor storage yard intersection for the next 5 days. Please observe barricades at the trailheads and use alternate trails on the west side of the meadow to access the harbor. The contractor will re-open the trail intersection ASAP. Thank you for your patience and cooperation!
